FAQs + PRO TIPS
WHY SHOULD I WEAR PRESS-ON NAILS?
- High-Quality & Beautiful: Press-on nails have immensely improved since the 1950’s. Today, they’re almost impossible to tell if you had them done at home or the salon. These nails have come a long way and are modern through technology and made with the best materials. They fit well, feel comfortable, are durable, and now look like authentic fake nails! Designer nails have never been so quick, easy, and inexpensive. If you are skeptical about press-on nails, they will immediately convince you that this is the next-level way for luxurious nails! Press-on nails are redefining faux nails and reshaping how we do them.
- Quick, Easy to Apply & Time-Saving: Each kit contains everything you need and instructions to get started. As a beginner, you might take some time with the routine. Sooner than you think, you'll be applying them within 5 to 15 minutes. You'll save time and energy from having to make a salon appointment, sit for a couple of hours to have your nails done, then make another appointment to remove them.
-
Healthier, Safe & Hygienic: Self-care is essential, and who doesn't love getting their nails done at the salon? However, we should take accountability for our health and the environment we put ourselves in; otherwise, things like beauty will not matter. Wearing press-on nails helps avoid the harsh chemicals, fumes, dust, nail damage from drills, and germs that can cause serious infections at the salons. Our press-on nails are high-quality, non-toxic, and safe to use. The nail glue has fumes, can bond skin instantly, and affect the eyes, mouth, and respiratory system, but it is made for safe use when applied cautiously, for its purpose, and in a well-ventilated area. It is also non-damaging to your nails when used and removed correctly. Please do not use it if you have experienced adverse reactions to similar products.
Nail glue ingredients: Ethyl Cyanoacrylate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole), Red 7 (CI 15850).
- Cost-Efficient: According to Google, “your fingernails grow at an average rate of about a tenth of a millimeter per day.” In other words, your nails never stop growing! Getting your nails done at the salon comes with high costs. If you love salon nails, we all know how addicting they can be, and we often want a new design or an additional treatment that adds to the bill! Being pampered is self-care, and we don’t believe you should have to quit the salon altogether. Instead, make it your plan B. Press-on nails are inexpensive and reusable. Wearing them will help you invest your time and dollars more wisely and allow for self-care in the comfort of your home.
- Low-Commitment and Versatile: Press-on nails allow you to switch up your style as often as you wish and for as long as you desire! Each nail kit provides the option for short-term wear with adhesive tabs (up to two days) or longer-term wear with nail glue (up to two weeks). They are perfect for quick applications after work, in the car, and anywhere on the go! They are also convenient for use between work shifts, dinner dates, vacations, or different outfits and moods. Both the application and removal are quick, easy, and convenient. Keep a kit with you wherever you go, and always be prepared!
- Promotes Self-Care: Press-on nails might be artificial, but they aren't only superficial. Wearing them is a part of self-care. When a pretty set of nails makes you happy, you'll have a boost of good mood and energy. Happiness nourishes your mind, body, and soul. Being well-kept puts you in a state of balance and empowerment. From here, it's all uphill and positive. Our variety of colors and designs is fun, fashionable, and uplifting. You'll love the lifestyle!

WILL THE PRESS-ON NAILS FIT ME?
Each nail kit includes 12 or 15 sizes to choose from to find the best fit. The Le Luxe collection contains 30 press-on nails in 15 sizes. The La Beauté collection includes 24 press-on nails in 12 sizes. You can use the included nail file to smooth edges, reshape, and resize the press-on nails for a customized fit if you're in between sizes.
We offer short-length press-on nails for function with style and longer-length varieties for fierce fashion! However, most nail lengths in both collections consist of medium-length nails, the most sought-after. Press-on nails have many shapes, such as almond, stiletto, round, oval, square, ballerina, and coffin. "Ballerina" and "coffin" nails have similar silhouettes, while their names are used interchangeably.
Remember that just like our bodies with clothing, our fingernails wear press-on nails differently than others. With shorter nail beds, short- and medium-length nails may look longer on your fingers than others. On the other hand, if you have longer nail beds, each nail length will be shorter on you. Please note that all press-on nail sizes from different boutiques are not universal and vary in measurements, but generally refer to similar lengths when referred to as "short," "medium," or "long."
HOW DO I APPLY PRESS-ON NAILS?
SUGGESTED USE:
Before applying, select the best nail sizes and set them aside in order. Wash and dry your hands. Your nails should be clean, dry, short, and unpolished. Gently push back your cuticles and buff your nails for the best look and adhesion (optional). Wipe your nails with an alcohol pad to remove dust and oil, and sanitize.
PRO TIP:
- Do not use press-on nails if your nails or the surrounding skin are damaged, unhealthy, or infected.
- Do not apply them on dirty or wet nails to avoid poor adhesion and infections.
- Choose the smaller size if you’re in-between sizes for the best fit and look.
- File the sides and tip for a customized fit, shape, and length as needed or desired.
- The manufacturing process results in some nail tips having uneven edges. Filing and smoothing them down will create a finished look.
ADHESIVE TABS ( For short-term wear up to 2 days):
Choose the correct size of the double-sided adhesive tab, remove one side of the film, then apply it to your nail. Smooth out the air pockets before removing the second side of the film. Align the press-on nail with your cuticle. Press down firmly to secure the press-on nail, then smooth the edges with a nail file.
PRO TIP:
- Choose a size that covers the entire nail bed for best adhesion.
- Smooth out and minimize air pockets to prevent moisture and infections.
- Avoid lotions before application and water at least one hour after for best adhesion.
- Adhesive tabs have strong sticking power; avoid yanking press-on nails off to prevent pain and injury (see the box and the following for removal instructions).
GLUE (For long-term wear up to 2 weeks):
Use the nail glue in a well-ventilated area to avoid fume inhalation and adverse reactions. Apply a thin layer of glue to your entire nail. Prevent the glue from getting on your skin. Align the press-on nail with your cuticle. Press down firmly to prevent air pockets and hold it for 20 seconds or more until it’s secured. Smooth the edges with the nail file.
PRO TIP:
- Using nail glue gives the most realistic look when applied evenly and correctly. An even application prevents hair from getting caught in your press-on nails when running your fingers through your hair.
- The nail glue dries quickly, so having your nail sizes in order and ready to apply will prevent having to add more glue.
- Avoid applying too much glue to avoid seepage onto your surrounding skin. Wipe off immediately with a towel if this happens.
- Applying an even amount of glue to your nail will ensure better adhesion and less allowance for air pockets.
- Avoid lotions before application and water at least one hour after for best adhesion.
HOW DO I REMOVE PRESS-ON NAILS?
TO REMOVE GLUE & ADHESIVE TABS:
Soak your nails in warm water for 10-15 minutes. You may use soapy water. Gently lift off press-on nails when loose. NOTE: The press-on nails should detach easily without damaging your nails. Soak them longer if needed. Buff off the excess nail glue from your nails. Press-on nails are reusable when used with adhesive tabs.
PRO TIP:
- The nail glue has strong adhesion. Avoid peeling the press-on nails off without soaking them to prevent damage to your nails.
- Trending nail removal tutorials recommend adding a healthy oil to the soap mixture to help loosen press-on nails for easier removal.
- Use the cuticle stick or edge of a press-on nail to gently lift the edges of the press-on nail off during/after soaking.
- If you typically remove glued press-on nails with acetone, protect your skin with a moisturizing lotion or oil to prevent drying. Buff the surface of the press-on nail to encourage a faster dissolving time. Press-on nails are thinner than salon acrylic nails and do not need to soak in acetone for more than 5 minutes. Moisturize hands, nails, and cuticles after removal. Please note that press-on nails are not reusable after this removal method.
